A Proposal at The Inn at Little Washington. Washington, VA

I met Mason and Kelly a few minutes before our session started and just with a brief hello and a description of their day, I knew this couple is going to be a dream for photos!

Most times couples don't need me to make them feel comfortable, they have each other! I guide them in the direction of movement of photos but the candids and the feelings shown in photos come from within them as a couple.

We met on the main street, made our way through all the nooks and crannies, and headed to the main garden, this was the location Mason had his heart set on. As we approached the garden I could feel the air tighten up a bit, but we both hit or ques, he started to walk and all went without a stumble. Perfection.

We chatted and told secrets to Kelly, all the little plans we discussed that made her glow with delight. The ring was incredible, I couldn't stop staring at it. As I take photos of the ring on a blooming tree, I always reassure them I only use safe spots to place the precious gem. As I photographed the ring I always let the couple have a moment to soak it all in, and they sure did!

I could not be happier for this sweet couple. The Inn at Little Washington never disappoints. What a gem of a spot in the mountains of Virginia.

I hope to see Mason and Kelly again on their big day!
